A devout man, who roamed the streets of London in the late 19^th century seeking people to help, spiritually and materially, died in an accident. Her was trying to save a little boy lying in the middle of a crowded road, full of horse drawn wagons and carts rushing to and fro. He rushed onto the street to grab the boy and the next moment he could remember – he was in heaven.

Through the Mists is his recollections of his first days in heaven and what he learned.

Spiritist Review 1859 – Letters from Beyond the Grave

The Spiritist Review was written and published by Allan Kardec from January 1858 to April 1869. Kardec died on March 31st, 1869. Each month Allan Kardec included different articles, reports of mediums meetings, and other pertinent information regarding Spiritism in his monthly journals. The book contains all the monthly reviews from 1859. It is fascinating reading.

Interview with Curtis Childs of “Off the Left Eye” – talking about Emmanuel Swedenborg

Emmanuel Swedenborg was taken into the spirit world and wrote about his experiences a little less than one hundred years before Allan Kardec codified The Spirits Book. Swedenborg espoused many of the same tenets as Spiritism. He also was very definitive in what constituted correct behavior. He laid out explanations as what a good deed actually is – since the thought behind it is vitally important – not just what it appears on the surface. His ideas are still relevant today.

Perseverance – Always Endure

Perseverance is the secret to a fulfilled life. We all know this, for we learned it as a child, and we have mostly ignored it since. Our culture of rapid gratification – internet pages must load within two seconds – movies must have action before the opening credits – all promote the abandonment of any pursuit that encounters the smallest obstacle or delay.

We understand that most successful people are those who don’t give up. They continue striving in the face of repeated failures. In fact, they gather experience from their failures, which allows them to more expertly surmount hurdles placed in their path.
